When they left the White House, they decided to become private citizens while not going back to practicing law. Instead, they have been working on their foundation and international initiatives.
There is also no denying that they have somewhat achieved a celebrity status leading to lucrative book deals such as the former first lady’s best-selling memoir “Becoming.” It was reported in March 2019 that the book was slated to surpass 10 million sold copies after only being released in November of the previous year.

While some people may find it fascinating that two of the most popular couples in the world are working together behind the cameras, sources close to the Obamas have since denied Mail’s report. “The rumors of them having anything to do with this are totally false. The former president and first lady are not advising the couple and have not been in contact with them,” one of the insiders told PEOPLE.
